The Estonian government has decided to allow people entering countries with a high risk of Covid-19 infection from September to opt for a new coronavirus test as an alternative to 14-day self-isolation.
This is a sufficiently safe alternative that will allow you to go on the most necessary trips abroad, while taking care of public health.
At present, the requirement for self-isolation in Estonia is mandatory when entering European countries where the number of newly detected infections has reached at least 16 per 100 000 inhabitants in the last two weeks. The list of these countries is updated every Friday and takes effect from Monday.
From 17 August, entering Estonia, arrive from Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sana'a. Marino, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden, i.e. a total of 23 European countries.
